The Band


 

Tastes Like Chicken is a 9-member high energy band that specializes in upbeat dance music. From Rock, Pop, R&B and Disco to about any genre of music, new and old, this group can cater to any size event with any musical theme. The band has played almost every major event or venue in central Indiana over the years as well as a long list of weddings.

 

Deb I

What I Do: Lead Vocals, Cowbell Solos

Did You Know? Deb is a former Colts cheerleader. She is also a nationally-acclaimed dance instructor! Ask her about her  long list of dance instruction! 

Leta G

What I Do: Lead and Background Vocals

Did You Know? Leta was previously the local news girl for a popular country radio station.

 

Gregg Gernhardt

What I Do: Lead Guitar/Vocals

Did You Know? Former member of Tastes Like Chicken who previously played for 5.5 years. Gregg is a long time player here in central Indiana who has played with a lot of local acts. Hands down, one of the best players around. We welcome Gregg back to the band.

 

Danny Isaacs

What I Do: Drums, Lead and Background Vocals

Did You Know? Danny is a great drummer but most other acts, including the Danny Isaacs’ band, he is actually the “front man” lead singer and guitarist. Danny, Deb and Leta have also been long time singing partners.

 

 

Mike Moore

What I Do: Keyboards, Funny Sounds and Rotating Thingies

Did You Know? Mike is legendary for being the only person “in the world” who can sing chords…seriously ask him! Mike is a founding member of TLC along with Vic. Mike also repairs anything and everything in the band….the trailer, amp cases, cables, Leta’s broken nails, Deb’s 9″ heels…you name it!

 

Vic Koons 

What I Do: Bass Guitar and Mandolin

Did You Know? Founding member of TLC with Mike. Vic books TLC, handles and runs the PA, creates song lists, makes the posters, runs the website…and about anything else the girls tell him to do! He also throws the best pool after parties of any band member in the world!

 

Mark A

What I Do: Alto, Tenor, Baritone & Soprano Saxophones, Horn Arrangements

Did You Know? thesaxguy.com  Mark studied music at Toronto’s prestigious Humber College. Mark has worked with artists such as Ian Hunter, Paul Shaffer & The David Letterman Show band, The Temptations and The Drifters. Mark is also an accomplished studio musician with many recording credits.

   
 

Forrest M

What I Do: Trumpet

Did You Know? Forrest has appeared with many great artists including the Temptations, the Four Tops, 10000 Maniacs, Bobby Vinton to name just a few. He has also had the honor of performing for 4 US Presidents – Nixon, Ford, Carter and Clinton.
